The Snow is slowly disappearing, Spring is coming!

Do you know that feeling? The feeling van excitement, thrilled that something new is coming your way? That is how I enjoy the start van the new season on our farm.
We and our animals are waking up, the snow is slowly melting, the first seeds are coming to life, and now the time starts to bring all the ideas from winter together.

Our “Ladies” have arrived

This winter, we have been busy with the newcomers, our “Ladies”, 22 of them. After building their barn, important to cope with the strong winter climate here in the north of Sweden, it was time to welcome the flock. We chose to keep multiple breeds, all mixed.
The first eggs from our “Ladies” were a real treat in comparison with the supermarket eggs you can buy. We feed them the best grains we can find, we make sure they can go out when they want. We have a big part of the terrain (approx. 250m2)covered with a wired fence and netting to keep them safe.

We are happy to see that the temperature rises slowly so the snow melts and that our “Ladies” can be more outside. Check the first steps of them in the hen’s garden!
